My wife and I wanted to sell our house in Colorado Springs, then find and purchase a house in Limon, CO.
We have known Esther for a few years prior through our children. When we were getting into the market to sell our house, Esther promised she would treat us like family, and so we chose her as our real estate agent.
Esther immediately took responsibility for helping us understand all aspects of the real estate buying and selling process, and gave us great advice on marketing and staging our home. She provided excellent referrals for stagers, utility companies, inspectors, appraisers, insurance companies, and others. We were able to do some customized staging of our home at a very affordable price with her recommendation. We also saved hundreds of dollars per year on home insurance by calling up her references for homeowners’ insurance. Esther gave us great advice through the process of negotiating the price and terms of the sale of our house as well as the purchase of our new house. We had complete confidence that we had the best available market price on both our sale and purchase based on Esther’s thorough research and expert advice.
She collected the documentation to get our solar panel system included in the appraisal for the sale of our house, which added $20k to the appraised sale price. Her expertise also helped us tremendously as we navigated the process of negotiating the sale and we were very pleased with the sale price and terms. When it came to buying our house in Limon, Esther (and her broker) provided advice that was invaluable, and they were the key factor in causing us to walk away from a purchase that would have presented too much risk to us as homeowners. After that disappointing episode, Esther helped us find another house that we now (in retrospect) are convinced was a much better purchase than the original house. We purchased this house at below the list price, and negotiated over $15k of improvements to the house at no cost to us. The purchase of this house is, hands down, our best home purchase experience in Janene and I’s 20 years together and 5 moves together.
I would whole-heartedly recommend Esther (and already have) to my friends and family in the Colorado Springs, Limon, and surrounding areas. She truly treated us like family and convinced us, through the whole process, that she was just as invested in our happiness with the real estate transaction and our new home as we were.

I knew Esther when she first went into real estate she was so eager and excited. As a longtime friend, I was thrilled when my mom decided to move to town and could be her first client. She did an amazing job for my mom. While looking at houses that were available and being picked quickly off the market, she saw one in the right area and was able to negotiate the deal to secure my mom the winning offer. She was great with the closing and even helped discover issues that were able to be resolved with the place before final closing.

She was able to sell a house for me at the beginning of the pandemic with current regulations. We got FIVE offers above asking in four days and she helped me pick the best one. She went above and beyond to work with a stager to help show the house well and came up with a list of items that would help sell the house better. We got $19,000 over asking during the pandemic and it closed without a hitch.

Dear Esther:

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your hard work in helping us find the perfect home in Colorado Springs. I have purchased homes previously and know that it can be a very stressful and time intensive experience. However, this was the easiest home purchase I have had from start to finish. When you said we could close in 30 days I was somewhat skeptical, but you were right on with your prediction.

You were able to seek out the homes that met our criteria and was patient when our criteria changed over time. I know it was hard working with my son and I, who at times had very different ideas on what the most important criteria was. The ability to look at homes while in Kansas and the use of technology to view the properties as well as sign documents to make offers was very easy and saved a great deal of time traveling the 9 hours to Colorado Springs. Your availability on weekends, evenings and last minute was very much appreciated when working with our very different work schedules and travel challenges, it was critical to our success.

Your advice on which homes were worthy of offers as well as how to make the strongest offer were very much appreciated. Your recommendations on mortgage lenders was appreciated and they did not disappoint. I know you worked tirelessly and never gave up on our dream to find the right home for us even working through a pandemic and showing homes virtually.
